The tradition of boat building is not new in Malaysia. Malaysia boat making history reaches far back in time of many hundred years, for trade, fishing, defense, exploring new areas up the rivers and down to deep seas . Each vessel were designed for specific purpose.
We develop many planing hull type called "BEDAR". The word "BEDAR" comes from the slapping effect when boat hull slapping water surface when the boat rise to plane.
The "BEDAR" tradition evolved as modernization rises. Now "BEDAR" has enter the Industrial revolution 4.0 era with lean manufacturing, Ai Design Optimization, Electro Paint Coating, 3D printing components, CNC precision pattern moulding, hybrid composite with metal infusion, precision casting, laser welding and CNC laser cut.
